Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Will It Take To Rank?
The rate of rise will be determined by many factors. If you have done no SEO work and your phrase is not overly competitive it can be within days. If you have a very competitive market (for example ‘credit card’) it can take longer. The more the result is ‘worth’ in commercial terms the more you may need to invest towards owning a top position. Some clients make £10,000 per sale for valuable search terms so they invest more resource into the search engine optimisation campaigns. These markets take longer to rank in. We can tell you if you need a guide. It is impossible to predict with certainty.

Do you Guarantee results?
You are right to be skeptical of suppliers who offer you guarantees of number one rankings. The reality is that there are too many factors beyond the control of an individual. Google change the ranking algorithm often. Historically our team have been able to achieve some spectacular results for customers. We do guarantee that our team will do extra work on your project to make a significant difference in rankings. We have several high PR blogs at our disposal that we can use to shift difficult search terms. We have never had a search term that we cannot rank eventually. Note, we will prevent you from trying to rank unrealistic terms like ‘golf’ or ‘loan’. All that we ask is that you are realistic and fair.

Where is your team based?
From Small Acorns is a trading name for Subrideo Ltd, a company based in Brighton, UK. We also work with partner companies to help us deliver the scale of work needed to optimise sites effectively and continuously.

How many links can I expect?
We don’t estimate the number of links you will receive. Services that sell packages based on number of backlinks often get tempted to produce low quality links using spammy tools. The key feature that sets our packages apart is the focus on quality links. Our team hand prepare the core resources and this content ‘sticks’ in the search engine longer. We get quality backlinks from privately owned category specific blogs from multiple IP addresses. The links we place are embedded into hand written quality posts.

Who makes new content for websites which link to ours?
All articles, PDF’s, Press releases, Videos are either made in-house by our own staff or by partners we work with. Pictures are sourced either from our original photography library or purchased for your project. If you have technical content and pictures you should supply that to our team.

Are your team well trained?
From Small Acorns was founded by Lee Turner and Juliet Eccleston and they will be your direct contact. You can read all about Lee and Juliet on our About page.

Will you work with my competitors?
Once we are working with you, we will not take on work from any businesses asking for the same keywords as you. If we are in doubt, we will discuss this with you.

Are there any keywords that we cannot ask for?
Sometimes there will be keywords for which a client has an exclusive arrangement with us. Some are private phrases that we have done substantial work already for clients. We don’t feel it is fair to try and rank two clients for the exact same phrase since only one can be the winner. Although we do not ordinarily guarantee exclusivity we feel it would be a conflict of interest to knowingly optimise your site for particular phrases we will advise you straight away after ordering and refund you in full.

We are unable to work on any site that would violate the Google Adsense policies (we see them as a good benchmark).
